Majestic Realty receives Julian C. Dixon Award at Mobility 21 Transportation Summit

(October 30, 2006) Majestic Realty Company of City of Industry, Calif. was presented with the Julian C. Dixon Award today at the Mobility 21 Summit, an annual transportation conference that draws together elected officials, transportation providers and business, labor and community leaders.

Majestic Realty was chosen for its outstanding contributions to the transportation community. The award was presented by Metro CEO Roger Snoble and L.A. Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Gary Toebben.

It honors an individual or organization that has improved regional mobility through vision and leadership. Majestic Realty was chosen for its work in getting America’s leaders focused on goods movement, its strong support of the Mobility 21 coalition and its assistance in helping to make goods movement more efficient by providing warehouses near rail lines, roadways and airports.

The Julian C. Dixon Award is named for the late congressman who was an early champion of expanding public transportation in the Los Angeles region. Among his many achievements, Dixon forged a consensus among local, state and federal officials to secure funding for the Metro Rail system.
