The Mobility 21 Coalition Meeting was held Friday, July 29, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Ports O'Call Restaurant in San Pedro, California.

California State Assemblywoman Jenny Oropeza, Chair of Assembly Transportation Committee, gave keynote address. Assemblyman Bob Huff, Vice Chair of Assembly Transportation Committee, spoke on transportation issues. Local elected officials were invited to provide updates on Harbor Area transportation issues. Mobility 21 members gave briefings on Federal and State issues important to business, transportation providers, and other stakeholders.

Stacey Jones, Director of Engineering Development, Port of Los Angeles,will moderate a panel discussion on goods movement issues. Panelists included Gill Hicks, Gill V. Hicks Associates; Bill Mongelluzzo, Journal of Commerce, and T.L. Garrett, Pacific Merchant Shipping Association.

The Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA) and the Port of Los Angeles (Port) are providing free tours to attendees of the Mobility 21 Coalition meeting on July 29!
Registrations are required as space is limited, and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

ACTA Trench Tour
12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Departing from Ports O'Call Restaurant
The ACTA tour will be on an air-conditioned bus, departing from the Ports O'Call
Restaurant. This bus tour, narrated by Art Goodwin, P.E., Director of Planning, will take you on a tour of the Alameda Corridor where you will have a chance to see the famous trench.

Port of Los Angeles Harbor Tour
12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Departing from the Maritime Museum
This narrated tour aboard the Angelena II highlights the workings of the inner harbor at the Port of Los Angeles. See some of the world's largest container ships and cranes in operation.
