Mobility 21 Summit Moves East to San Bernardino County; Expands to Include Five Counties

(Nov. 5, 2007) Mobility 21 today hosted its first summit as a regional transportation advocacy group representing five Southern California counties. Dale E. Bonner, Secretary of the California Business, Transportation & Housing Authority, kicked off the sixth annual Mobility 21 Transportation Summit together with elected officials and business, transportation and community leaders representing the region's 17 million residents. Three Southern California Leaders Singled Out For Outstanding Contributions to Regional Mobility at Sixth Annual Mobility 21 Transportation Summit

(Nov. 5, 2007) Eric Haley, Executive Director of the Riverside Transportation Commission; Curt Pringle, Mayor of the City of Anaheim, and Larry Sharp, Chairman of the Inland Empire Transportation Coalition, were presented today with awards for improving mobility through vision and leadership in their various regions.

The awards were given at the Mobility 21 Sixth Annual Southern California Transportation Summit, a conference that draws together elected officials, transportation providers and business, labor and community leaders dedicated to solving Southern California mobility challenges. MORE>


The Automobile Club of Southern California launches “The Road Ahead.” 
The Automobile Club of Southern California launches “The Road Ahead,” a campaign to increase transparency, public awareness, and commuters’ influence over how transportation dollars are spent.  Voters passed Proposition 1A and 1B less than a year ago because they wanted more money spent on transportation to help avert increasing congestion and decaying infrastructure in the state.
